I would like to talk about an occasion when my university friends and I went to see a comedy performance at the local theatre.

When I was studying at university, a group of popular Vietnamese comedians performed on stage at a large theatre. One of my friends got free tickets to the comedy show. She invited me, and I jumped at the chance to go with her because I love anything that makes me laugh.

I remember that as soon as we had dinner at a restaurant, we headed towards the theatre. The whole group I went with was over the moon and smiled radiantly for two reasons. Firstly, since it was the end of the semester and the holiday was about to start, we met up to chill out. Secondly, the comedians told side-splitting jokes, so my friends and I laughed our heads off while watching. The applause went on and on. It was one of the most riveting performances I have attended. Afterwards, we went out for drinks and talked about the bits we liked the most, which helped us feel at ease. I think performances like this should be encouraged more as they do help people escape from the daily grind. Going to lively bars or crowded nightclubs is not my cup of tea, so I prefer to spend more time with friends engaging in activities that make me smile. So, watching comedy movies and shows is my top priority.
