Describe a leisure activity near the sea you want to try.
You should say
- What it is
- What you need to prepare
- How easy or difficult it is
- And explain why you want to try it
Well, the activity I probably want to give a try when I’m on the beach is beach volleyball. Unfortunately, I don’t get that much of a chance to play it because I live quite far from the coast. I only get the chance to do it when I’m on holiday, so I will have played it by the end of this year. Actually, I want to have a go at it earlier, but what with work and everything, it’s just not possible. I prefer to play with a few of my friends who can be with me on holiday, and other people at the beach.
Passing, serving, setting, spiking, blocking, and digging are six undeniably foundational volleyball skills. Serving and passing are major hurdles I face when I play. This sport requires considerable mental and physical agility. When you first begin to play volleyball, it seems to be unbelievably challenging, but after a while, it’s not that difficult to come to grips with it.
The reason I want to have a crack at it is that it’s so much fun, especially jumping around in the sand. I can dive for the ball and land softly in the sand, whereas if I try doing that on a hard surface like concrete, it would be excruciating. In addition, playing volleyball can be a healthy way to improve my cardiovascular fitness and help ward off depression.
On top of that, playing beach volleyball requires players to work well as a team to score points and keep the other team from winning. So it can give them valuable opportunities to interact socially with friends and acquaintances.
